Nursing Staff
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Our Healthcare Assistants provide support for our nurses and are able to carry out the following procedures: Blood tests, basic dressings, support to help you stop smoking, pre-diabetic clinic care, ECGs (including 24 hour monitoring), flu vaccinations, B12 injections, blood pressure checks, urine testing, and health promotion (including NHS health checks). Lisa is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
Lisa supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care. She is supported by the executive team and our team of Patient Services Administrators.

Practice Service Administrators
The Patient Services Administrators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.
The Patient Services Administrators make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Community Nurses
Our District nurse team provide skilled nursing care, advice and assessments for patients who are housebound.
Patients eligible for this service are those who:
are unable to travel to surgery due to serious illness or disability
are recovering from surgery and are too unwell to travel
need palliative nursing care
have undergone chemotherapy or radiotherapy and travel would be detrimental to recovery
need treatment which cannot be appropriately carried out in the surgery setting

Health Visitors
The health visitors are able to offer support, advice and a listening ear to you and your family; this can include advice on parenting, post-natal depression, sleep, behaviour management, breastfeeding, weaning/feeding.
